County Judges and Commissioners from across the Lone Star State are invited to Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort & Spa Oct. 3-6 for the 100th Annual Conference of the County Judges and Commissioners Association of Texas. The V.G. Young Institute of County Government, a part of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, will serve as the educational co-sponsor of the conference, hosted by the Bastrop County Commissioners Court.
Tuesday’s Opening General Session will include working with the Texas Legislature and lawmaking. Later in the day, a full slate of classes will address county roads, strategic planning, purchasing, and interlocal agreements.
Presentations on Wednesday and Thursday will center on timely issues such as the American Rescue Plan Act, the juvenile justice system, and internet broadband.

Wednesday will feature the popular tournament afternoon with dominos, golf, shuffleboard, and corn hole. The CJCAT 100th Anniversary Dinner and Party will take place Wednesday evening. Spouse activities are slated for Tuesday.
