Oct. 3-6, 2022

Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort & Spa │ Cedar Creek

“As we celebrate 100 years of excellence, may we all be remembered for serving this Association in these historical times. Going forward into the next 100 years will only be more exciting and challenging for future leaders. Let the legacy live on.” CJCAT Association President Rick Bailey, Johnson County Commissioner

County Judges and Commissioners from across the Lone Star State are invited to Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort & Spa Oct. 3-6 for the 100th Annual Conference of the County Judges and Commissioners Association of Texas. The V.G. Young Institute of County Government, a part of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, will serve as the educational co-sponsor of the conference, hosted by the Bastrop County Commissioners Court.

Tuesday’s Opening General Session will include working with the Texas Legislature and lawmaking. Later in the day, a full slate of classes will address county roads, strategic planning, purchasing, and interlocal agreements.

Presentations on Wednesday and Thursday will center on timely issues such as the American Rescue Plan Act, the juvenile justice system, and internet broadband.

Social activities will allow plenty of opportunities to network with officials from across the state. Enjoy renewing old friendships and building new relationships during the President’s Party and Exhibitor Appreciation Night on Monday evening and Bastrop County Host Court Night on Tuesday evening. Wednesday will feature the popular tournament afternoon with dominos, golf, shuffleboard, and corn hole. The CJCAT 100th Anniversary Dinner and Party will take place Wednesday evening. Spouse activities are slated for Tuesday.
