North & East Texas Annual Conference

June 17, 2024 by Julie Anderson

July 15-18, Kyle Field - Brazos County

When it comes to this year’s conference theme, Build What Matters, the early bird session on July 15 could not be a better fit. Designed to provide an in-depth and concentrated learning experience on the budget, this four-hour training, free of charge, will include calendars, grant considerations, and adoption procedures.

Registration for the budget workshop is separate from the general conference registration and is available here: https://www.county.org/education-and-events/calendar-of-events/2024/co-admin-training-county-budgeting/agenda

All conference classes will take place at Kyle Field in College Station, Brazos County.

Continuing Education

Pending approval, Commissioners may receive 13 hours of continuing education credits during the regular conference sessions and four additional continuing education hours for the early bird session.

Four judicial education credit hours for Judges have been approved.

The overall agenda includes 10 hours of credit toward Commissioners Court Advanced Curriculum Certification.

The V.G. Young Institute of County Government, a part of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, is the education program co-sponsor.
