Texas County Progress

The Official Publication of the County Judges and Commissioners Association of Texas

Highlights From Terlingua

November 1, 2011 by Sarah L

Once again, the Far West Texas County Judges and Commissioners Association had a very successful conference in Terlingua.  Each year seems to be better than the last.  As immediate past president, I want to take the time to thank everyone who attended this year’s conference Sept. 21-23.

The officers gearing up to lead the 2012 conference are: President – Pecos County Judge Joe Shuster; Vice President – McCulloch County Commissioner J.P. Murray; and Secretary-Treasurer – Schleicher County Judge Charles Bradley. We can expect to have a banner conference next year.

Without our sponsors and exhibitors, we could never have as good a turnout as is liked, so I wish to thank all of you for your help and support.  This year, Sul Ross State University again sponsored our continuing education.

We were again blessed with a terrific slate of speakers who went above and beyond to help county officials better understand and meet their job requirements.

In closing, I ask you to avail yourselves of the products and services of the organizations listed below.

See you next year,

Irion County Commissioner John Nanny
