The Far West Texas County Judges and Commissioners Association conducted its 2005 annual meeting Sept. 21-23 in Lajitas.
Pecos County Commissioner J.H. Kent, now immediate past president of the Association, would like to thank the members of the Association for the opportunity to serve as an officer for the past three years.
As president this past year, I had the privilege of working closely with fellow officers Tom Green County Judge Mike Brown and Upton County Commissioner Willie Martinez. I thank them for their help with this conference, and we look forward to their future leadership, along with newly elected officer Curtis Evans, Jeff Davis County commissioner. I also would like to thank the other members of the Association, our speakers, Jim Allison, and our sponsors and contributors, who are all great folks. Special thanks go to the Texas Association of Counties for all the extras they do, and Sul Ross State University for serving as the educational co-sponsor and advisor.
Many thanks to the following organizations for their support of this year’s conference. We couldn’t do it without them.
