Why Stop In Fort Bend County???

May 2, 2008 by Sarah L

A few select local attractions in Fort Bend County include the Brazos Bend State Park where oak trees, lakes, and wildlife are plentiful on the 4,897 acres of Brazos River bottomlands; the Fort Bend County Fair and Livestock Show that includes a 10-day extravaganza of food, rides, auctions, exhibits, dancing and music; the award-winning Fort Bend County Museum, where exhibits interpret more than 100 years of history; the George Ranch Historical Park that shares with visitors the compelling drama of four generations of Texas ranchers; the George Observatory that offers the largest telescope in the nation available for public use; and the historical Morton Cemetery, founded in 1825, that contains graves of many Fort Bend early pioneers, among many other attractions including over 250 holes of award-winning golf courses.
Fort Bend County is a community of outstanding entertainment venues and comfortable accommodations that offers the conveniences of big-city shopping without the hassle. From small boutiques and antique shops to upscale clothiers, you can choose from hundreds of specialty stores or your favorite retail chains to fulfill your shopping needs.
Good times and good friends await you in Fort Bend County with first-class dining, nightlife, museums, shopping and family fun. It’s all here for you, and we hope that you take the opportunity to visit! County Judge Robert E. Hebert
