1:30 p.m.       Jail Standards – Hiring the Jail Consultant Who is Right for Your   County

An examination of the options available to counties in building corrections facilities.

3:00 p.m.       Water Issues

Whose water should it be?  Who should formulate water plans?  What about private vs. public water resources?

                        What options are available to counties in planning for growth?

Four hours of continuing judicial education featuring a fresh look at the Benchbook and how to use it.  Learn to charge a jury in a DWI case and determine heirship as the judge of the probate court.  County judges have more jurisdictional variety than any segment of the Texas judiciary.  This comprehensive session will address as many of those issues as time allows.
