County Bid Limit

During the past legislative session, the statutory competitive bid limit for cities was increased from $25,000 to $50,000. All other political subdivisions, including counties, remain at the $25,000 limit. The West Texas County Judges and Commissioners Association and several counties have adopted resolutions to support an increase in the county limit. Below is a sample resolution that can be considered by commissioners court. If your commissioners court adopts a resolution on this issue, please send me a copy.Jim Allison
