State Conference Resolutions Needed

As you make plans for the upcoming Annual Conference in Fort Worth Sept. 15-18, please submit draft resolutions or issues for the State Association legislative program. Under our Association constitution and by-laws, conference resolutions are automatically included in the next legislative platform. Copies of these resolutions are submitted to all members of the Legislature. Suggestions may be submitted in advance or to the Resolutions Committee at the Conference.
It is very clear that the 2009 legislative session will involve important county issues. Current interim studies are reviewing revenue and appraisal caps, indigent health care, land-use regulatory authority, and other issues. Our complete attention will be required to develop accurate information to influence the Legislature on these issues.
