Sponsored Content: An interview with Helifox Technologies, LLC

October 1, 2020 by Sarah L

Who is Helifox Technologies?

Helifox is the result of over 40 years of combined experience in the telecommunications industry, where we have seen a constant struggle for many organizations to keep up with their technological needs. Sometimes, due to budget restrictions, lack of technical expertise, or limited access, small government offices have been overwhelmed by many challenges. Including during this COVID-19 pandemic, where many counties have been ignored or taken advantage of by larger corporations seeking to profit from this situation, or simply being ignored due to the “low” profitability this type of operation represents for them.

This is how Helifox was born: We understood the need for a better way to provide access to technologies through a simplified and cost-effective “Managed Service” model. We deliver access to technologies and services while reducing and/or eliminating the dependency on IT and/or 3rd party vendors.

What are Managed Services?

Helifox has partnered with over 200 technology and service providers/manufacturers in several fields. We design and implement technological solutions using the partners that best fit our client’s requirements and budget.  Our partners are in constant competition for our business; so they all really WORK FOR YOU.  Helifox manages these service (partners) while providing you with support and maintenance, reducing the need for additional IT personnel or multiple contracts; freeing you, our client, to concentrate on what’s important, your operations.

“By simply replacing carriers and/or old conventional telephone systems like Cisco or Mitel, our customers experience a 20% to 50% reduction in monthly telecom OPEX alone.”

How can Helifox help Texas counties?

This takes some time and effort, but through the years, we have perfected a patented process involving a NO-COST assessment and an operating cost analysis of the client’s legacy (current) systems. We then present our clients with a SOW (Scope of Work) proposal detailing the steps and costs associated with the upgrade/implementation of the new technology and services. The speed in which we provide these answers depends on how quickly the client responds to our questions. This is really, the hardest part of the process.

“Reduce costs Upgrade Technology and improve communications, all at the same time.”

Is this transition complicated?

Honestly, no implementation is ever easy, but it shouldn’t be painful.  However, installing systems is only the first step, assimilating the technology is the most difficult phase. Helifox understands this better than anyone, therefore, in addition to any service delivery, we provide a structured training and certification course that shortens the users’ learning curve. Transmitting knowledge is our strongest trait, and we see it as the most important component of our service manual.

What solutions come to mind during this pandemic?

We offer several services. (Please visit our website at www.helifox.com to learn more.) The following bullet points are some of the most relevant at this time:

  • Unified Communications
    (Phone Systems, Mobility,
    PBX, Telecom)
  • Telework and Remote
    Worker Systems.
  • Zoom Room.
  • Smart City Automation services
    and analytics for cities, counties,
    and utilities water and wastewater.
  • Internet and Fiber Services.

Is there a specific message you would like to leave with our readers?

The most important message is that this pandemic has presented us with a challenge like no other.  Social distancing and remote collaboration should be implemented as a requirement for business continuity in the “New Normal” for the foreseeable future. Simply stated, don’t let technology leave you behind. Allow us to perform a no-cost, no-obligation telecommunications assessment, and we will show you how we can provide you with the latest technology and save money at the same time.
