Armstrong County has been home to two courthouses. The current temple of justice was built in 1912 in a Classical Revival style as designed by Elmer George Withers. The Tobacco Settlement Permanent Trust Account Investment Advisory Committee approved $50 million for the year 2013 tobacco settlement distribution, the same as the previous year’s amount.
