  The 1891 Colorado County Courthouse was designed by noted Texas architect Eugene Heiner in a Renaissance Revival style and is a National Register Property. In 1909, a hurricane destroyed the original tower and severely damaged the structure. 158 Counties Receive $6 Million in Tobacco Money

The Tobacco Settlement Permanent Trust Account Investment Advisory Committee approved $50 million for the year 2013 tobacco settlement distribution, the same as the previous year’s amount.
