Monuments of Justice: San Saba County Courthouse

County Seat: San Saba * County Population: 5,730 (2020 Census) 

   The San Saba community celebrated the county’s newly restored courthouse in a rededication ceremony on March 5, 2020.       The Texas Legislature created and organized San Saba County in 1856.   On Sept. 29, 1899, the local Masonic Lodge laid the cornerstone of the current McCulloch County Courthouse, and by May of 1900 the new courthouse was move-in ready. Monuments of Justice: Johnson County Courthouse

Completed in 1913, the Johnson County Courthouse is one of the state’s finest historic landmarks. Among the building’s most notable features is its highly ornamented and stunning atrium. Monuments of Justice: Fort Bend County Courthouse

County Seat: Richmond * County Population: 858,902 (2020 Census Estimate)

     The Fort Bend County Courthouse, originally built in 1908, was saved from demolition by a single vote of Commissioners Court over 30 years ago and continues to be used as a functional courthouse today. Monuments of Justice: Trinity County Courthouse

      The Trinity County Courthouse was built in 1914 in a Classical Revival style. The county capitol features a full-height portico with paired Tuscan columns, as well as brick parapet, denticulation, corbelled window surrounds, and stepped wings.
