     The Fort Bend County Courthouse, originally built in 1908, was saved from demolition by a single vote of Commissioners Court over 30 years ago and continues to be used as a functional courthouse today. The Tobacco Settlement Permanent Trust Account Investment Advisory Committee approved $50 million for the year 2013 tobacco settlement distribution, the same as the previous year’s amount.
