Commissioners Court Awards Funding Shelter to Officially Open This Month

In December 2018, the Hidalgo County Commissioners Court approved $75,000 in funding for the county's only live-in emergency shelter for abused children. 158 Counties Receive $6 Million in Tobacco Money

The Tobacco Settlement Permanent Trust Account Investment Advisory Committee approved $50 million for the year 2013 tobacco settlement distribution, the same as the previous year’s amount.
