Nine Counties Receive $20 Million in Courthouse Restoration Grants

The Texas Historical Commission (THC) announced grant recipients for Round XI of the nationally recognized Texas Historic Courthouse Preservation Program (THCPP) during its June meeting. The Lee County Courthouse was designed by J. Riely Gordon in 1898 and built by Sonnefield, Emmins and Abright of San Antonio. 158 Counties Receive $6 Million in Tobacco Money

The Tobacco Settlement Permanent Trust Account Investment Advisory Committee approved $50 million for the year 2013 tobacco settlement distribution, the same as the previous year’s amount.
