Stop in to see the first Quilt Trail in Texas, 10 seven-foot-by-seven-foot signs painted with popular quilt squares placed throughout the county! You’ll remember your favorite quilt and the love (and cotton) from which it was made!
There’s a quilt block in Meadow, the hometown of Sonny Curtis. Stop by the Meadow Museum to learn about the composer of many hits, including Bobby Fuller’s “I Fought the Law.”
As you enter Brownfield to view additional quilt squares, stop at Hamilton Park to learn about our rich history and promising future. Head downtown to see the 1938 mural at the Police Department, the historic courthouse, and the Veteran’s War Memorial.
There’s a quilt square in front of the Terry County Heritage Museum. Go inside to see antique quilts, exhibits on Indians, buffalo, cowboys, pioneer homes, and more. While you’re there, ask about Skip-Bo; this popular card game was invented in Brownfield!
