Washington County has a rich heritage, and we hope that you take advantage of some of our sights in the county.
Washington-on-the-Brazos State Historic Site and the Star of the Republic Museum in “Old Washington” are not to be missed. The Brenham Heritage Museum is located in the downtown area of Brenham as well as the new home of Unity Theatre. Of course, a trip to Brenham would not be complete without a tour and taste of Blue Bell Creameries.
There are so many attractions and sites to visit in Brenham, Burton, Chappell Hill, Independence and Washington; the Chamber of Commerce/Convention and Visitors Bureau has done a wonderful job producing the Visitors Guide and will direct you wherever you need to go.
