158 Counties Receive $6 Million in Tobacco Money
The Tobacco Settlement Permanent Trust Account Investment Advisory Committee approved $50 million for the year 2013 tobacco settlement distribution, the same as the previous year’s amount. Monuments of Justice: Edwards County Courthouse
County Seat: Rocksprings * Population: 1,935
The 1891 Edwards County Courthouse has stood the test of time and disaster. In 1897 the county capitol was engulfed in flames with only the stone walls surviving. In 1927 a tornado struck the county seat of Rocksprings, tearing the roof off of the courthouse.
